  12. The Service Pack adds a few new options for configuring Dos sessions: the
  13. first one is Com_Direct_Access.  Until now, Dos programs that manage a
  14. 16550's buffers directly, like Procomm Plus, couldn't; OS/2 got in the way.
  15. I had to use the Mode command's buffers=on option in order to profit from
  16. my 16550.  My question: does the Com_Direct_Access option mean I can 
  17. forget about using Mode with buffers=on and just rely on Procomm to manage
  18. the 16550? If so, are there any advantages to letting OS/2 do the job 
  19. instead of Procomm?
