- My modem works fine under OS/2 now, and I've used both TE/2
- and commo without that "missing character" problem I was having
- before. However, I have been unable to manage any sort of background
- transfer under OS/2. I am running a Boca Research 14.4k, with 16450
- (ugh -- anybody know if this can be upgraded?) I swap out of my full
- screen session, and when I return, the box is "frozen" on the screen
- with an error message to the effect that there were errors in the
- download. I can handle and expect diminished performance as a result
- of not having a 16550, but to have the tranfer abort is very annoying.
-
- Part of the problem might be that I havn't configured the modem
- correctly under TE/2; there was no modem file for my modem in
- modem.zip. I took one that looked close, but perhaps I didn't get it
- right. If somebody else is using a bocamodem, gimme a holler. I'd
- like to get this working.
-
- ...and yes, IDLE_SENSITIVITY _was_ set to 100.
