  14.      My modem works fine under OS/2 now, and I've used both TE/2
  15. and commo without that "missing character" problem I was having
  16. before.  However, I have been unable to manage any sort of background
  17. transfer under OS/2.   I am running a Boca Research 14.4k, with 16450
  18. (ugh -- anybody know if this can be upgraded?)  I swap out of my full
  19. screen session, and when I return, the box is "frozen"  on the screen
  20. with an error message to the effect that there were errors in the
  21. download.  I can handle and expect diminished performance as a result
  22. of not having a 16550, but to have the tranfer abort is very annoying.

  24. Part of the problem might be that I havn't configured the modem
  25. correctly under TE/2; there was no modem file for my modem in
  26. modem.zip.  I took one that looked close, but perhaps I didn't get it
  27. right.  If somebody else is using a bocamodem, gimme a holler.   I'd
  28. like to get this working.
