- I have 2.00 loaded on my computer and am going to install the CSD. My
- computer is a Gateway 2000 with a Diamond Speedstar with 512K onboard.
- Before I install, I want to do a complete backup of my system. OS/2 is
- installed on my D: drive (extended partition) using HPFS. I have a Colorado
- Jumbo 120 tape drive which I am waiting for a driver from Colorado to use
- under OS/2.
-
- My question is what is the best way for me to do an entire system backup,
- that I could restore in the event of disaster. I have gnutar, MKS tools
- (cpio/tar/pax), eabackup etc... Is there a way to make a large tar type
- backup to my C: drive ( I do have the disk space), boot dos, and backup
- using my tape drive? If so, what is the best sequence of programs that I
- should run? Likewise, what would be the sequence that I would use to
- restore the entire system, without having to do a re-install?
-
- Thanks in advance for your help.
