- I have a system that has the beta 32-bit/win31 and the GA on separately
- bootable partitions (love that bootmanager). I updated the GA with the
- fixes that were available (comm drivers, that kind of stuff) until I got
- the beta stuff. I recently got the servpak and did the upgrade. It
- went as expected with no problems except that one of my disks had a bad
- spot causing a VDPX.SYS (I think) file to be clobbered. I got a new
- disk and put that file in manually with no great trouble. When I tried
- to boot the system, it went along loading the various stuff in
- config.sys (sytos drivers, cdrom driver, set the comm port, etc) but
- when it tried to go into the graphics mode it hangs like crazy. I have
- to hardware reset the system to get going again. Has anyone had this
- problem before. I have an S3 based card (Orchid f1280) but it did ask
- for the driver disk (disk 1 of 2). Any pointers will be appreciated.
