  15. I saw a new document on the OS2BBS "News and Announcements" of IBMLink
  16. today which documents known problems with the service pack and solutions
  17. or workarounds where they have them.   I have posted a message requesting
  18. permission to forward this document in its entirety to this group and
  19. OS2-L.   I haven't heard back, so I thought I'd take the liberty to
  20. "paraphrase" some of it...
  21.   1.  Out-of-sync with Diamond Speedstar.
  22.       They have a solution, but its fairly long.   I hope I can post the
  23.       entire file...
  24.   2.  List of supported SVGA adapters.
  25.       Western Digital Paradise Professional
  26.       SVGA with Tseng ET4000 or ET3000
  27.       Video 7 VRAM II
  28.       ATI VGAWonder XL (chip #18800 or #28800)
  29.       Trident 8900c
  30.   3.  Problem with XGA and OEM monitor with workaround
  31.   4.  Problem with non-IBM XGA-NI can't use XGA mode in VDM.
  32.   5.  New Tseng SVGA - system won't boot - make sure you have SVGADATA.PMI.
  33.   6.  SVGA mode not supported in DOS box or WinOS2 for ATI 8514-Ultra.
  34.   7.  EVEREX Viewpoint out-of-sync problem.
  35.   8.  Internal Processing Error when deleting file on FAT in a VDM DOS box.
  36.       This sounds bad (don't delete from FAT in VDM DOS box).   Fix will
  37.       be produced.
  38.   9.  Alt-Home fails after session loses focus.   Workaround is: switch
  39.       to desktop and select "Windowed" from the pop-up menu for the 
  40.       program object (not the task list).
  41.  10.  Once #9 happens, *RIGHT* Alt key plus any extended key kills the
  42.       keyboard for that session.   Workaround is: quickly press and 
  43.       release *LEFT* Alt key.
  44.  11.  When a Windowed DOS program uses hi-res graphics, the box loses 
  45.       focus and keyboard appears dead.   Workaround is: same as #10.
  46.   I hope I don't get in trouble posting this info.   I can't imagine
  47.   IBM would care, but they *do* have lawyers :-)
  48.   Anyway, hope this helps.   Assuming I get permission, I'll post the 
  49.   exact file...
