- Hi, I've managed to solve the unstarted WinOS2. It turns out that I've deleted
- *one* driver that is written in the system.ini (fax.drv=faxit.drv, i've
- installed it though it never worked). With an ';' I get it work again!
-
- The moral of this story:
-
- **CHECK** whether all the drivers in the system.ini [boot] are on
- the /os2/mdos/winos2 directory!
-
- BUT.....
-
- From one of the e-mails I received said that I have to reinstall WinOS2 which
- I did. Now I see that the old drivers are copied back again in my /os2/mdos
- directory (d.d. 30-3-1992), and I realize that my WPS runs slower than after
- I installed the Service Pack.
-
- My question is: is it possible to reinstall service pack only for /os2/mdos and
- /os2/mdos/winos2 directories? I check with syslevel and it reports that
- I already have 32-bit GRE and all the fixes for the OS.
-
- Cheers,
- Anto
