- I can't help, but I can tell you that I have had this happen to me as well.
- As a matter of fact, it happened on my true blue PS/2 model 90 at work
- today as well, running WFW2.0 seamlessly (with no problems, I might add).
- For some reason, OS/2 with SP likes to just lock up occassionally with no
- apparent explanation. Very annoying.
-
- As long as we're talking about OS/2 bugs here, I may as well report this one
- too. The swapper.dat file grows and grows and rarely shrinks. I found that
- using a BMP for the background makes the problem about a million times worse.
- Just having the bitmap and opening and closing a a winos/2 session a couple
- of times will make the swapper grow to over 20 megs before it eats all
- available space and freezes up.
-
- Which brings me to another bug. When OS/2 is out of swap space, why in the
- HELL doesn't it report as such, ask you to close an app or two, and continue??
- Instead, the stupid thing freezes up.
-
- Unfortunately, most of my enthusiasm for OS/2 has been whittled down to
- something akin to disdain. It doesn't look like the damn thing is ever going
- to actually be reliable. Hopefully some other 32-bit multi threaded OS will
- come along which is...
-
- Incidentally, how do I go about reporting bugs to IBM...in the service pack
- that is...
