  12. First let me say that I have been using OS/2 2.0 since 6.167 (last
  13. October) and I won't use anything else.  But I am a little concerned
  14. about the number of WPS bugs that were not fixed in the SP.  Here's
  15. my preliminary list:

  17. 1) multiple entries int the "create another" menu option.
  18. 2) unable to use "settings" button for "Available menus" in
  19.    menu tab.
  20. 3) Command ref. and Rexx information not hashed when opened.
  21. 4) System clock does not stay across boots.
  22. 5) System Error popup (when "drive not ready") can be moved all
  23.    over the screen and it DOES NOT fix the background (ie. have
  24.    many copies of window all over).  Pressing button clears them all.
  25. 6) Funny characters in object names (certain dialogs - such as Find)
  26.    when a CR-LF is in it.
  27. 7) extra 2 templates (I know this is in the Readme)
  28. 8) Network folder appears in TREE VIEW ONLY of boot drive
  29.    under desktop folder EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO NETWORK!. Not in
  30.    icon view though.
  31. 9) system clock still has font trouble.
  32. 10) DRIVES: "create another" on folder A that has many sub-folders.
  33.     Specify a new name for this folder and indicate parent (A).
  34.     Notice how it has forgotten about most of the sub-folders.
  35.     Refresh does nothing, must reload drive object.

  37. Now for my list of non-shell bugs:

  39. 1) Klondike's cards are screwed up.  Most are all red.
  40. 2) OS/2 chess has funny boxes around the pieces.
  41. 3) French characters under WIN-OS2 are still using wrong
  42.    spacing.  Now they are too close together.
  43. 4) JetFighter II get sys3176 "illegal instruction at 00000004".
  44. 5) cannot load math emulator EM87.COM in a dos session.  available
  45.    on wuarchive.
  46. 6) Star Control completely locks up system (except mouse) when started
  47.    in a window.

  49. However, I do find that WIN-OS2 starts faster, more
  50. VGA DOS programs run in a window (and all are faster), seamless bugs
  51. seem to be fixed, more consistent use of colors, and no more black
  52. icons!

  54. My system is a 386-40 8 meg, ATI XL 1 Meg, VGA resolution.  SP (golden)
  55. installed over un-modified GA installation.
