- You are not alone...
-
- I'm using the Trident 1024x768x16 driver (their latest and greatest)
- and as soon as I installed the SP, things started freaking out.
-
- At first I thought I installed the drivers wrong and went back
- and read the SP Readme. Then I installed the drivers using their
- C:\MYDISPLAY method and reinstalled the SP. No go.
-
- I have the same problems as do you, but I also have a couple more.
-
- (1) In windowed DOS or OS/2 sessions, the text in the windows also
- pops up the upper right hand corner of the WPS.
-
- (2) Also in windowed sessions, there appears to be 1 line
- that is blocking text to some degree. Any text appearing on
- that line is partially blacked out.
-
- (3) In full screen sessions, I'll be typing along and all of a
- sudden, text will just _stop_showing_on_the_screen_. I can
- still type, albiet blindly.
-
- In all cases, a return to the WPS (which will then be covered
- with garbage) to do a refresh *usually* solves the problem,
- but occasionally, it will lock up my windowed sessions
- (which is a _serious_ pain in the butt when I am doing my
- programming assignments and haven't saved in the past 5-7
- minutes -- you may not lose a lot of work each time, but
- when it happens every 15-20 minutes...)
-
- Has anyone found a fix to this problem? Is it the
- drivers or the SP? Is Trident working on 32-bit drivers?
-
- Hrmph...
