- I am running OS/2 GA + CSD on a Positive (made by Tandon) 386SX-20 with a
- built-in svga chipset made by Western Digital. I am trying to experiment with
- possible support for higher resolutions and/or more colors. When I do a
-
- SVGA ON
-
- in a full screen DOS session, it replies
-
- SVGA: PMI File Generator (v1.01)
- Usage: SVGA <ON | OFF>
-
- as if I had given it a bad argument. Actually it gives the same message for
- any agument. It does not generate the svga file.
-
- Any ideas as to what is happening and how to fix it?
-
- I tried selective install of svga support. It made minor changes to my
- config.sys but that is all I notive. It does not give me a dialog about
- possible resolutions.

- Also on a slightly different machine with the same configuration I remember
- there was an option for vga256 or some such thing suggesting a 640x480x256
- mode. I have not been able to get that again. Any ideas?
