- Here's what I did. It worked good for me.
- 130 MB Hard drive
-
- Partition # Size Name
- ----------- ---- ----
- 1 1M Boot Manager (Required)
- 2 3M DOS (Contains only the DOS OS and associated files)
- 3 50M OS/2 (Contains only the OS/2 OS & associated files)
- 4 76M Shared (Contains applications & data)
-
-
- In the DOS partition resides DOS and programs that can only be used in a
- true DOS bootup such as a mouse driver, ansi.sys (since OS/2 DOS has its
- own, QD3, etc.)
-
- In the OS/2 partition resides OS/2 and programs that can only be used by
- OS/2 that wouldnt be able to be used if I booted with DOS such as
- TE/2, OS/2 icons, etc. 50M seems to be a good number because it allows
- extra space for any icons, swap files, applications, etc. use by OS/2.
-
- The shared 76M partition has applications and data that I would want to
- use regardless of wether I booted up with DOS or OS/2 such as Procomm,
- fonts, etc.
-
- This seemed to be the best set up for me. Hope it gives you some idea
- on how you would like to set up your partitions.
-
- By the way, once you run FDISK, you lose everything that you have on the
- ddisk.
