- The nowhere directory is used by the workplace shell when the object type for
- a particular object has gotten corrupted. One of the first things the WPS does
- when you install OS/2 is generate extended attributes for each object. What
- you have on your system before os/2 is programs and subdirectories. EA's
- are generated for these objects and stored in the hidden file EA DATA. SF
- (if FAT file system) or incorporated right into the file structure (HPFS).
- OS/2 introduces new objects to your system, such as the printer object,
- the template object, etc. If the object type should somehow get corrupted,
- the WPS stores the item in question in the Nowhere subdirectory. Not sure
- why you have two nowhere directories, did you install the SPP over beta?

-
- You can delete this stuff. When you delete a printer icon, you are only
- deleting the icon. Same with a program icon. To delete the physical files
- you need to go to the drives icon and do it from there, or do it from
- a command line.
