  26. If all you need is a simply 3270, COAX attached, Emulator and you don't mind
  27. using a CUT Mode emulator, IBM has a product called "OS/2 Entry Level 3270
  28. Emulation Program".  It's a resident 16-bit OS/2 application that only takes
  29. up about 35K of memory.  Below is a brief description from Hone:

  37. Description: The OS/2 Entry Level 3270 Emulation Program, ELEP2, is a
  38. 3270 CUT (Control Unit Terminal) Mode Terminal Emulator which allows a
  39. user to connect a workstation via a COAX cable to a 3174, 3274, or
  40. equivalent control unit. The control unit will then view the workstation
  41. as a 3278/3279 Display Station and allow the user to access a Host System.

  43. - ELEP2 can run in either an OS/2 Window or Full Screen Protect Mode session
  44.  
  45. - Both DownLoad and UpLoad functions are supported using IBM's IND$FILE File
  46.   Transfer Protocol

  48. - Up to 4 3270 Adapter Cards are supported.  If ELEP2 is used on a system
  49.   that also has OS/2 Communications Manager (CM) installed, you can run CM
  50.   on one adapter card and ELEP2 on the other three.

  60.   allows applications to be written which interact with the Host Environment.

  63. SoftWare Requrements:

  65. - ELEP2 runs in OS/2 protect mode and uses documented OS/2 API interfaces not
  66.   available in DOS compatibility mode.  While OS/2 1.2 or greater is
  67.   recommended it should work with any OS/2 1.x or 2.x release.  When run on a
  68.   32-bit V2.x release, ELEP2 will run in 16-bit mode.

  70. - The file transfer utilities, ELEP2RCV for DownLoad and ELEP2SND for UpLoad,
  71.   require the IND$FILE program to be installed on your Host system.

  75. - Any WorkStation capable of running OS/2.

  77. - If you are using a MicroChannel machine you will need a 370 Connection
  78.   Adapter card Version A (Long Card) or Version B (Short Card).  The latter
  79.   allows you to install up to 4 adapter cards at the same time, each attached
  80.   to a separate control unit.

  82. - If you are using a Family-1 Machine (e.g. PC/AT or XT/286) you will need a
  83.   3278/79 Emulation (Long card) or Advanced Emulation (Short card)
  84.   adapter.  The latter allows you to install up to 4 adapter cards at the
