  11. I have just got a Jumbo 250 MB tape streamer. I have been trying to
  12. use it in a dos session under OS2 but with no much sucsess. I am able 
  13. to back up some MB and then an error appears. (drive communication
  14. error, error uppdating fat on tape or something similar). I am using
  15. the tape software which came with the tape.

  17. When I am running the CRT check (tape crt) it tells me that there is
  18. electrical interference, but I got the internal version of the tapedriver
  19. so i can not move it, and i have turned of my monitor and the interference
  20. stil is there (I can heare the beep in the loudspeaker). I can not understand
  21. that there should be some electrical interference inside my computer which
  22. is affecting my tape and not my motherboard. (The interference could come 
  23. from the powersuply, it is a ZEC 220W switch mode power suply).
  24. The electrical interference is there also when I am booting up DOS with a 
  25. floppy (my entire disk is HPFS).

  27. Trying to formate a tape in a dos session under OS2 also fails after a short
  28. time, formating it when I am booting up DOS works all rigth (1h50m formating
  29. time)

  31. Is there something wrong with my tape drive (I don't think so) or do other
  32. people have the same probleme?

  36. TCI 486DX 33MHz (Contaqu main board, ISA)
  37. 20 MB ram (70ns)
  38. 200 MB Maxtor HD 
  39. IDE cache controller w/1MB (I also tryed anothe one with no difference)
  40. 3 1/2" floppy A
  41. Trident 9000 (512kB)
  42. Norwegian GA with english CSD (I just changed the numbers in the SYSLEVEL file)
