- WindowsNT went into end-user beta last month. However, Microsoft
- is handling only a small number of beta sites at the moment,
- with the intention of enlarging the beta program over the next
- few months. You can get on the waiting list by callin MS, but
- your chances of getting a beta are better if you are the IS manager
- for a Fortune 500 company than if you are a user in a 10-node LAN.
- Alternatively, if you are a developer, you can buy the SDK beta
- (which includes the end-user version) for $69 from MS.

- MS claims to release NT in the 1st quarter of 1993. I would be amazed
- if NT hits the shelves before next summer.
