  23. WindowsNT went into end-user beta last month.  However, Microsoft
  24. is handling only a small number of beta sites at the moment,
  25. with the intention of enlarging the beta program over the next
  26. few months.  You can get on the waiting list by callin MS, but
  27. your chances of getting a beta are better if you are the IS manager
  28. for a Fortune 500 company than if you are a user in a 10-node LAN.
  29. Alternatively, if you are a developer, you can buy the SDK beta
  30. (which includes the end-user version) for $69 from MS.

  32. MS claims to release NT in the 1st quarter of 1993.  I would be amazed
  33. if NT hits the shelves before next summer.
