  12. I was banging up into this 'cannot find font fixed' as well until
  13. i re-ran mkfontdir in all of the font directories. The font.dir files
  14. *were* there after i installed SLS, but somehow they were wrong.

  16. Also, at least on the S3 server, if the FONTPATH in Xconfig has directories
  17. that the server does not like (in my case it was Speedo) the server would
  18. just hang, so pare it down to just misc/ and 75dpi/ to test.
