  13. I have a ViewSonic 6E, and a Paradise 512K Vga
  14. card and have been having a real problem with
  15. my Xconfig settings getting X to run.  When I
  16. run startx, X will start up and after a bit
  17. I'll get a screen but it flickers very badly
  18. and it looks sort of like those TV's where the
  19. antennas are way out of wack.  I can see the
  20. mouse and move it around, but no xterm's come 
  21. up so eventually I escape with C-Alt-Backspc.

  23. I get the following information back
  24. from the stats displayed when I run startx:

  29. I'm using the standard VESA setting for 640x480x256
  30. but no matter what I change on these I still have the
  31. same screen problem.  X is working, but it appears
  32. that my settings are off.  Anyone have an ideas,
  33. pointers?
