  16. EFS is quite stable right now. I have a 130 Meg EXTFS usr partition
  17. that I have been using for about 5 weeks now. I use it extensively
  18. without any problems. No corruption etc. However its performance
  19. leaves a lot to be desired. It operates at abut 25-30% efficiency
  20. when compared to the Minix FS. When writing large files (~4-8Meg)
  21. it loads the system very heavily locking out other foreground
  22. processes for periods of upto 40 secs or so.
