  25. Linus said something about changing select() in 0.98.4 and breaking
  26. emacs because of it. I guess this would be the problem? I get the same
  27. error wth emacs and 98.4. I think the solution is to recompile emacs.

  29. I am looking for an example of configuration files for emacs. I would
  30. greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me where i can get a 
  31. config.h, m-linux.h and s-linux.h for GNU emacs, any version will do.

  33. I also got some messages about using an old stat() when i tried 98.4.
  34. They told me to recompile. Does that mean the for now the old stat
  35. still works? Are the programs giving me the warnings actually broken 
  36. or can i still use them safely while updating?
