- I have to add to the previous note, that I have altered /usr/src/linux/net/tcp/
- Space.c already, to the values that my card uses.
- It uses IO/Port 280, and interrupt 3 instead of 5, is that the problem ????
- The disk has a Dos-partition, and the card is working well with IO-280 / int3,
- and I don't want to open the computer and change jumpers when switching the
- operating system.
-
- But I don't think that's the problem ... once I have compiled the kernel with
- interrupt 5 for the wd-card, and when booting, I got a infinite loop. Now it is
- compiled with interrupt 3, and the wd: infinte loop disappeared. So i think
- int 3 is right. It now also prints out something like:
-
- > Initializing 1 AF_UNIX
- > initializing 2 AF_INET
- > WD8013 32 pages memory, 00:00:c0:af:xx:xx
-
- so the wd-card is doing right...
-
- Our net at university is a class-B net (140.78.x.x), netmask is 255.255.255.0
- Has anyone connected to the net using wd ? could you please tell me whhat value
- you have used for the -n value in config (either a.b.0.0 or a.b.c.0 where a.b.c
- = Your net-ip)
-
- thank you, Herp.
