- I've got a simple but (for me) important question:
- I 've installed OS/2 2.0 and LINUX on my 486. OS/2 2.0
- work fine with 1024x768 interlaced and non-interlaced.
- I use the ET4000 driver from an OS/2-ftp-archive.
- But ... LINUX (as a synonym for Xwindows under LINUX)
- work only at 800x600. clock.exe don't work, but dmode.exe
- tells me that I use 1024x768NI with 62MHz.
- Now my question:
- OS/2 2.0 use a file called svgadata.pmi, is it possible
- to examine this file to recover the settings for LINUX-Xconfig ?
- Why it's not possible to get LINUX with a standard ET4000
- driver, with standard 1024x768 mode like the driver for OS/2 ?
-
- A great compliment for LINUX, easy to install, easy to use !
