- I have installed new SLS about several week ago, but I have been trying to
- get xconsole worked, but I still cannot get it work.
- I have changed the owner of /dev/console -> /dev/tty0 to me, but it
- didn't work either. I have read and write permission to it.
-
- I am starting X with initx, not xdm.
- Can somebody help me with this?
- Thanks in advance.
-
- Try changing xconsole to setuid root. (i.e. "chmod 4755 xconsole"). It
- seems to work for me. Don't know about the security issues with that,
- but xterm seems to be another setuid root program.
