- For the first question:
-
- WHen I try to compile anything, as root or otherwise, I get the error:
-
- gcc: installation problem, cannot exec as: No such file or directory
-
- This leads me to conclude that I'm missing file[s] or directori(y|ies).
- I installed the SLS install, with the A and B disks (latest version
- from mit) and what I assumed was a complete GCC package from the same
- site - gcc and the lib files... The README mentioned some misc tar files,
- but I didn't see those lying about.
-
- Second question:
-
- Does linux support a QIC-40 drive? No great urgency, my PC currently won't
- support said drive just yet, but I'm working on anti-rejection measures
- right now... :-)
-
- And the third question, just so I could have one:
-
- Can one, without using the X-Windows under linux, do anything at all with
- graphics? And can I use X-11 with a Paradise SVGA card?
-
- Thanks,
-

- (Boy, was it neat logging in as root, even if it was my own PC. Finally -
- the slashes go the right way!)
