  13. Several people have complained that it is hard to upgrade from
  14. SLS .96 to .98.  I suppose that the real solution requires an
  15. addition of an upgrade option to the install program that
  16. can delete all of the previous installation.  I will look at it,
  17. while I am looking at the mounting /usr to a different partition.
  18. It may take a while (priorities you know).

  20. Also, I think I will add to all the z?fix.taz files, the script
  21. to make sure the major directories have the correct permissions.

  23. Finally, packages like SLS do not eliminate all newbie questions
  24. /postings.  Newbies will always ask a certain number of questions
  25. before running out of gas.  The functions of these packages is to
  26. let them get a lot further into the system before the fuel expires.
  27. So instead of questions like "where do I get ps", we get questions
  28. that help debug a system for general use.
