- (note: the following quotes and response are regarding a list of Linux
- users who are willing to be distribution points for Linux. The list
- will be arranged by geographic location and is being compiled right
- now. If you want to be on it, or at least find out more, mail me

- If there were an easy answer to this, there would not be the linux
- distribution problem in the first place. If I am knowledgable enough
- about linux to have heard of this list, chances are I have a copy of
- linux myself. And if that is the case, I can just tell them how
- great it is and give them a copy.

- Well, one person has already suggested putting the list on
- BBS's. Some people who use BBS's might be scared to try out Linux if
- they had to do it on their own, but would be more willing to try it if
- they knew that someone who had experience would be there to help them.
- Another possibility is mailing it it Comp. Sci. Departments at
- universities and colleges, because even if the list does not contain
- any one who lives near a particular university, the school's students
- will be from all over and might be able to get in touch with Linuxers
- on the list over vacations and summers. The hope is that you don't
- need prior knowledge of Linux to run across this list (or have it run
- across you) -- and after all, we all started sometime :-) Two years
- ago I hadn't heard of Linux either, and now it's my sole and only
- operating system!!
