  38.    If there were an easy answer to this, there would not be the linux
  39.    distribution problem in the first place.  If I am knowledgable enough
  40.    about linux to have heard of this list, chances are I have a copy of
  41.    linux myself.  And if that is the case, I can just tell them how
  42.    great it is and give them a copy.

  47.     Well, one person has already suggested putting the list on
  48. BBS's. Some people who use BBS's might be scared to try out Linux if
  49. they had to do it on their own, but would be more willing to try it if
  50. they knew that someone who had experience would be there to help them.
  51. Another possibility is mailing it it Comp. Sci. Departments at
  52. universities and colleges, because even if the list does not contain
  53. any one who lives near a particular university, the school's students
  54. will be from all over and might be able to get in touch with Linuxers
  55. on the list over vacations and summers. The hope is that you don't
  56. need prior knowledge of Linux to run across this list (or have it run
  57. across you) -- and after all, we all started sometime :-) Two years
  58. ago I hadn't heard of Linux either, and now it's my sole and only
  59. operating system!!
