- 1. You say you do this as "metamail p1 p2 p3". Does the same problem
- happen when you do "metamail p1; metamail p2; metamail p3"? This would
- be the more usual way to do it. Either way it is a bug, but I'm trying
- to pin the problem down a little better...
-
- 2. OpenWindows Mailtool 3.0 is *NOT* MIME-conformant. It uses a format
- that is similar to, but different from, MIME. I have heard strong
- indications that the next version of this tool will be MIME-smart, but I
- don't think there's been any official committement from Sun.
-
- 3. MIME-smart versions of Eudora and Maelstrom are reportedly in the
- pipeline. I don't think anyone has ported the metamail code to the Mac
- because the basic interface paradigm is so different as to make the code
- less directly useful there than on other platforms.
-
- 4. Maybe metamail really is out of memory. If you can trace it (either
- with a debugger or by turning on metamail debugging, e.g. with MM_DEBUG)
- we can figure out where & why it is running out.
