  15. I recently returned to the US from Italy where I was running ELM 2.4
  16. PL3 on an IBM RS6000 AIX3.1.  Now I am using a cluster of IBM RS6000s
  17. with NFS mounted disks running AIX3.2.  I got and installed ELM 2.4 PL6
  18. with our system manager here and am noticing an error I didn't see
  19. before.

  21. If I try to pipe a message to a command using "|" I get the error(for
  22. example):

  35. after pressing the return I get:

  37. Return code was 256.

  39. The same thing happens If I run readmsg from within emacs while
  40. composing or replying to a message.  On the other hand shell escaping
  41. readmsg works just find and returns the current message.

  43. Anyone know what's going on?
