- This is not at all surprising - I remember seeing an article
- (in EE Times?) which stated that a fairly large portion of
- Xilinx's profits come from tool sales. One would expect that
- profits would come from sales of chips! BTW, Xilinx is notoriously
- close minded when it comes to publishing *anything* about the
- internal architecture of their chips. For your amusement, ask
- them sometime for a spec about what each bit means in the fusemap ;-)

- We have the Viewlogic tools (schematics capture, simulator, vhdl,
- synthesizer, etc) for use with the Xilinx design system. Viewlogic
- stuff is pretty nice, though their doc could use a much more
- careful job of proofreading - many typos, errors, etc.
