- The best Hi8 camcorders will record 4 or 8 frames at a time and so
- are excellent for time-lapse photography. I think your problem
- would be setting the workstation's sequence off at the right time -
- you aren't going to have any pulse from the camcorder to tell the
- workstation when it actually goes into RECORD (this will be a long
- time - in video terms - after you ask it to. You could try and find out by
- experiment, but I would not expect the mechanics of a camcorder to
- be sufficiently repeatable for this to work. In addition, you need
- to 'change frame' on the workstation between frames on the recorder -
- again you're missing any sync information that would allow you to get
- this right.

- it were complimentary.
