  15. I am having some trouble getting the animation of
  16. satellite images to work.  I have obtained the
  17. sun4 code "mov" from David Honig at ics.uci.edu
  18. (thank you David) as well as his script "clouds"
  19. to get the satellite images.  Where I am having
  20. trouble is running the programs "giftoppm" and
  21. "ppmtopgm".  When I try to run these programs I
  22. get the following error message:

  24. unknown relocation type 17Segmentation fault (core dumped)
  25.  
  26. The man page is less than one page and provides 
  27. no insights.  I am running Openwindows on a Sparc IPX,
  28. using SunOS 4.1.3.  We are not running X windows
  29. so I had to get the giftoppm and ppmtopgm executables
  30. from some X directories buried in our system.
