- I have received a 13584 x 19019 black and white image in
- PC Paintbrush .pcx format. I would like to convert it
- to a Sun raster file.
-
- Yes, I tried using the Extended Portable Bitmap Toolkit and tried the
- command "pcxtoppm" but I would need 775062288 bytes (i.e. over 775
- Megabytes) of main memory for this conversion.
-
- So, my question. Does any one have a program running under
- UNIX (perhaps written in C so that I can compile it easily)
- to cut up PCX images into smaller PCX images.
-
- Or, even better, does anyone have a program to convert from
- PCX format to Sun Rasterfiles given a Sun 3 or a Sun 4 with
- 32 Megabytes of main memory and given a 13584 x 19019 image?
-
- Thanks,
- Gladys
