  15. I have received a 13584 x 19019 black and white image in 
  16. PC Paintbrush .pcx format. I would like to convert it 
  17. to a Sun raster file.

  19. Yes, I tried using the Extended Portable Bitmap Toolkit and tried the
  20. command "pcxtoppm" but I would need 775062288 bytes (i.e. over 775
  21. Megabytes) of main memory for this conversion.

  23. So, my question. Does any one have a program running under 
  24. UNIX (perhaps written in C so that I can compile it easily)
  25. to cut up PCX images into smaller PCX images.

  27. Or, even better, does anyone have a program to convert from
  28. PCX format to Sun Rasterfiles given a Sun 3 or a Sun 4 with 
  29. 32 Megabytes of main memory and given a 13584 x 19019 image?
