  12. Someone asked me about algorithms / available software to count
  13. the number of yeast cells in a sample. He has a setup that allows
  14. him to put a sample under a microscope and digitize the picture.
  15. He is looking for either commercial software or published algorithms
  16. that allow give him the number of cells in the picture.

  18. I assume that this is an fairly old computer vision problem and has
  19. probably applied to the counting of blood cells before, but since
  20. this isn't my normal line of work, I don't know were to look.
