  16.     My question is rather software oriented.In my research I have to
  17. implement a bank of filters (at least 4 of them) to simulate a system.I have read
  18. the tutorial paper by Vaidyanathan and most of the book by Rabiner&Crochiere.What
  19. I understood was that applying the polyphase filter structure we can gain in
  20. computation significantly as the number of filters increase as opposed to coding
  21. each of them separately.What I wonder about is the reality of this statement.I
  22. have never tried to measure the performande of the two approaches so if there is
  23. anyone out there with experience in this subject I would like to know and ask a
