- Hello;
- My question is rather software oriented.In my research I have to
- implement a bank of filters (at least 4 of them) to simulate a system.I have read
- the tutorial paper by Vaidyanathan and most of the book by Rabiner&Crochiere.What
- I understood was that applying the polyphase filter structure we can gain in
- computation significantly as the number of filters increase as opposed to coding
- each of them separately.What I wonder about is the reality of this statement.I
- have never tried to measure the performande of the two approaches so if there is
- anyone out there with experience in this subject I would like to know and ask a
- few more questions.Feel free to write direct to laydin@solar.usc.edu
- Thanks...
