- A friend of mine recently bought a bunch of Excelan Mystery
- Boxes. I was wondering if anyone on the net knows what they
- are (more importantly, if they *are* terminal servers), or if
- someone actually has a manual for one that they'd be willing
- to copy.
-
- I only got a quick looks inside one, so I'm afraid the details
- aren't very detailed.
-
- The Details: The boxes have "Excelan Export 2000" on them.
- They have 8 (possibly more...my memory fails me here) DB25
- ports, which I'm assuming are serial ports, but I don't
- remember whether there were actualy UARTs there for them or
- not. They have one AUI port each. They have a button
- labeled "reset" on the front, along with two LEDs.
-
- Inside, there's a i286 and what I'd guess to be about a
- quarter meg of memory
-
- Any help or info would be appreciated.
-
- Followups to comp.dcom.servers, since it's probably the most
- appropriate group.
