- My boss is looking for a modem to connect to a mainframe using SDLC or HDLC
- protocol. I understand the connection would be made using a 2-wire or 4-wire
- dial-up line in synchronous mode.
- His software obviously uses AT commands, does the modem need to support
- V25bis synchronous commands to speak to the other modem?
- Would standard V22.bis modems (Supra 2400?) offer the features he needs?
- My primary use for a modem is to access our news-feeder, so I'm a complete
- novice in this matter. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
- If possible, respond via email.
-
- Thank you,
