- I went through the same process, and finally ended up deciding on a
- USR Sportster. USR has been in the business for a long time and has
- always made good stuff. People tell me that it connects very well to
- almost all modems and that it does well over marginal lines. Plus, it's
- about the middle of your price range, at $300.
