- I just got a used Microcom AX/9600 Plus modem without the manual. Can
- someone please give me some tips on how to set this thing up to connect at
- 9600cps? In playing with the dip switches I was able to get it to show
- messages on the screen and respond to hayes commands but when it connects
- it always says CONNECT 2400/REL instead of 9600. What is 2400/REL and how is
- it different from plain 2400? The text on the screen seems to be jerky, stops
- and starts alot compared to my 2400 Zoom modem. Also, the HS light on the
- modem is on so I would think it should connect at 9600cps, but no luck. Any
- help is greatly appreciated.
