- I had a similar problem. Until I got the latest ROM upgrade, I worked around
- it by storing my configuration in the power-up nv-RAM, and setting the modem
- for &D3 (Reset on DTR drop). This reset the modem at the end of each caller session
- in the same fashion as cycling the power. The bug seemed to be that certain
- connections would leave the modem in an unusual state. This was not corrected
- by issuing a normal string to the modem like "AT&F...etc." Of course, to use
- this technique, you must be using a Hang-Up on DTR type of approach to modem
- control in your bbs software. The callers that hung the modem up seemed to be
- 1200 baud users, I recall.
