  32. Thats not only a problem of 'Finnish busy' or SupraFax but of other 
  33. (european?) countries and modem brands too. I had a Best 2400 plus which 
  34. didn't get the busy signal in Germany and now, as I have a Digicom Scout+ 
  35. V32bis FaxModem since several weeks I get similiar experiences. In most
  36. cases in Data mode it doesn't recognize busy signals. In Fax mode, it 
  37. often gets the busy.

  39. Is that a problem of european phone systems and their busy signals?

  41. I have learned from an engineer at the german telecom approval authority
  42. that many modems they get for an approval have difficulties recognizing 
  43. the busy signal, most of them because the signal level is too low.
