- Thats not only a problem of 'Finnish busy' or SupraFax but of other
- (european?) countries and modem brands too. I had a Best 2400 plus which
- didn't get the busy signal in Germany and now, as I have a Digicom Scout+
- V32bis FaxModem since several weeks I get similiar experiences. In most
- cases in Data mode it doesn't recognize busy signals. In Fax mode, it
- often gets the busy.
-
- Is that a problem of european phone systems and their busy signals?
-
- I have learned from an engineer at the german telecom approval authority
- that many modems they get for an approval have difficulties recognizing
- the busy signal, most of them because the signal level is too low.
