- Seems to me that the Courier 2400e that I bought March 20, 1987 used the
- same power supply connector as the older Courier 2400 models, which predate
- the 1987 time you mention. Maybe it's also a poor choice on Apple's part
- to use a connector that was used since 1985 as a USR standard connector.
- It _is_ unfortunate that the power supply fits where it shouldn't, but
- one of the ways manufacturers keep costs down is to use connectors that are
- already in widespread distribution and therefore don't cost as much as some
- other "strange" and non-widely-used connectors (much less trying to invent
- their own; you wouldn't _believe_ what that can cost!).
