  26. The November issue of MacUser magazine has an excellent report on V.32bis
  27. modems, and did tests using PTT telephone network simulators.  They found
  28. top performance by the Motorola UDS V.3229 and almost equivalent
  29. performance
  30. for a lot less money by the Supra FaxModem v.32bis.  Close behind was the
  31. Practical Peripherals PM14400FXSA.  Zoom did well on clean lines, but
  32. could not connect over impaired long subscriber loop (rural) lines due
  33. to high attenuation distortion.  For others, see the article.  Hope this
