- This must certainly be a side effect of your o/s if it is true. If the
- process that does the log backup (tbmonitor or tbtape) has been terminated,
- then Turbo will NOT have that tape drive open. Turbo being on-line with
- that tape device *defined* as the backup device (but no backup process in
- progress) will NOT open or in any way monopolize that tape drive. Are you
- sure that by "logg[ing] off the logger", you are in fact stopping the
- continuous backup (I assume that is what you are using for the log backup)?
