  14. organizing a session on the application of fuzzy/neural-nets.
  15. If you are interested in presenting a paper, please e-mail me
  16. a 250-word summary (see below) of your proposed paper by 11/25.

  18. although, I would consider all-comers.

  47. The Wescon/93 Technical Conference Committee invites you to develop a 
  48. proposal for a technical session for Wescon/93 to be held in San Francisco
  49. on September 28-30, 1993.
  50.  
  51. Wescon is a technical conference and exhibition covering a wide breadth
  52. of electronics technology and applications.  The goal of the technical 
  53. conference is to provide attendees with new, state-of-the-art information,
  54. as well as identify future trends in the electronics industry which can
  55. be immediately applied to their engineering decisions.  The technical 
  56. sessions emphasize current or near-term applications, advances and trends
  57. which engineers should consider for present practice in product design
  58. and manufacture.  In the two-hour technical session, a collection of
  59. complementary papers on a topic of broad interest to the electronics
  60. engineering community should be presented.

  125.     This call is for complete sessions and individual papers.  To be
  126.     selected, a session proposal must consist of a minimum of 4 and a
  127.     maximum of 5 related individual papers.  Papers are to be presented
  128.     within the 2-hour time limit, including time for questions from 
  129.     the floor.  The session topics should meet the requirements
  130.     described in this call.  Sessions should be clearly focused on a 
  131.     particular topic, with the individual papers providing
  132.     comprehensive coverage of that topic.  The organizer of a session
  133.     may choose to also be the chairman (or moderator), or may recruit
  134.     another individual for that position.  Organizers will be expected
  135.     to remain cognizant of the state of their sessions and to review 
  136.     individual manuscripts as they become available.

  138.     ALL AUTHORS ARE REQUESTED TO AVOID EVEN THE APPEARANCE OF
  139.     COMMERCIALIZATION IN THEIR PAPERS AND PRESENTATIONS.

  141. MANUSCRIPTS AND CONFERENCE RECORD
  142.  
  143.     Papers will be published in 2 formats: softbound conference 
  144.     records will be available at the conference for attendees
  145.     (speakers receive one complimentary copy), and a hardbound
  146.     volume will be distributed to technical libraries worldwide
  147.     following the conference.  Complete manuscripts (3 to 6 pages
  148.     in length) are required of each individual speaker.

  150.     Presentations may be withdrawn from the program if manuscripts
  151.     are not received by the established deadlines.

  153. PROPOSALS AND ABSTRACTS
  154.  
  155.     To submit a technical session or paper proposal, complete and
  156.     return the attached form* by November 30, 1992.  Proposers of
  157.     sessions are required to provide a 50-word description of their
  158.     papers.  Proposers of papers are required to submit a 250-word
  159.     description of their papers.  Notificatin of preliminary 
  160.     acceptance will be mailed on or about December 28, 1992.
  161.     A 250-word abstract will then be requested for each paper
  162.     included in a session proposal, due February 1, 1993.  Final
  163.     acceptance will be announced by the Program Committee by 
  164.     March 1, 1993, and detailed instructions for manuscript
  165.     preparation will be sent to all participants.
