- If you are interested in presenting a paper, please e-mail me

- although, I would consider all-comers.

- The Wescon/93 Technical Conference Committee invites you to develop a
- proposal for a technical session for Wescon/93 to be held in San Francisco
- on September 28-30, 1993.

- Wescon is a technical conference and exhibition covering a wide breadth
- of electronics technology and applications. The goal of the technical
- conference is to provide attendees with new, state-of-the-art information,
- as well as identify future trends in the electronics industry which can
- be immediately applied to their engineering decisions. The technical
- sessions emphasize current or near-term applications, advances and trends
- which engineers should consider for present practice in product design
- and manufacture. In the two-hour technical session, a collection of
- complementary papers on a topic of broad interest to the electronics
- engineering community should be presented.

- This call is for complete sessions and individual papers. To be
- selected, a session proposal must consist of a minimum of 4 and a
- maximum of 5 related individual papers. Papers are to be presented
- within the 2-hour time limit, including time for questions from
- the floor. The session topics should meet the requirements
- described in this call. Sessions should be clearly focused on a
- particular topic, with the individual papers providing
- comprehensive coverage of that topic. The organizer of a session
- may choose to also be the chairman (or moderator), or may recruit
- another individual for that position. Organizers will be expected
- to remain cognizant of the state of their sessions and to review
- individual manuscripts as they become available.

- ALL AUTHORS ARE REQUESTED TO AVOID EVEN THE APPEARANCE OF
- COMMERCIALIZATION IN THEIR PAPERS AND PRESENTATIONS.

- MANUSCRIPTS AND CONFERENCE RECORD
-
- Papers will be published in 2 formats: softbound conference
- records will be available at the conference for attendees
- (speakers receive one complimentary copy), and a hardbound
- volume will be distributed to technical libraries worldwide
- following the conference. Complete manuscripts (3 to 6 pages
- in length) are required of each individual speaker.

- Presentations may be withdrawn from the program if manuscripts
- are not received by the established deadlines.

- PROPOSALS AND ABSTRACTS
-
- To submit a technical session or paper proposal, complete and
- return the attached form* by November 30, 1992. Proposers of
- sessions are required to provide a 50-word description of their
- papers. Proposers of papers are required to submit a 250-word
- description of their papers. Notificatin of preliminary
- acceptance will be mailed on or about December 28, 1992.
- A 250-word abstract will then be requested for each paper
- included in a session proposal, due February 1, 1993. Final
- acceptance will be announced by the Program Committee by
- March 1, 1993, and detailed instructions for manuscript
- preparation will be sent to all participants.
