- Does anybody know this guy - is he always like this?
-
- Firstly, I'm not English: my Scouse-and-proud--of-it wife tells me
- grimly that _British_ I may be, but _English_? NEVAH!_. To which I
- reply that the knowledge gives me much comfort, and that I am glad
- that any cultural assumptions which may be made on the sight of my UK
- passport, which I carry reluctantly, are instantaneously dispelled the
- moment my accent is heard.
-
- Secondly, even Kapies like me know how English is supposed to be
- spelled - we will never let ourselves forget of our colonial
- heritage, unlike the nationals of a certain other country I could
- mention!
