- Comment away, w/ stuff on local distribution
- politics, and (as Dorothy wrote, but I did not
- incorporate because I zapped it by accident)
- on purchasing philosophy. E-mail addresses
- of distributors would be nice too. Tony, r u
- there?
-
- I'll handle the document. Maybe Itamar could stick
- this eventually into the list-server for all and sundry.

- Start:
-
- Document name: NBI Prices, ver 1.0 (beta)
- November 12, 1992
-
- Contents:
- I: US and non-US distribution
- a) Contacts
- b) Documentation and support
- c) Pricing for non-US
- II: Price schedules for US distribution
-
- ***************************************************
- I) US and non-US distribution
-
- a) Contacts
-
- The contractual or informal relationships between NBI Inc. (in
- New York) and its overseas distributors/customers are fluid and
- complex, particularly as of this writing with the Israeli market
- (i.e., whether NBI in New York will refuse to cash your check
- under certain conditions). In theory, if you *live full-time*
- in the following countries/areas:
-
- Australia, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Norway
-
- you should contact the distributors (hereafter, "non-US
- distributors") listed below.
-
- Denizens of the US and *all other parts of the world* not listed
- above should negotiate through the mother corporation:
-
- NB Informatics Inc.
- 285 West Broadway
- Suite 600
- New York, NY 10013
-
- Local voice #: (212) 334-0445
- Out-of-NYC free voice #: (800) 969-6922
- Fax #: (212) 334-0845
-
- Non-US distributors:
-
- *Australia*
- To be announced
- (i.e., to be dug up from secretary's desk)
-
- *Germany*
- Dragonfly Europe
- Hohenkorbener Weg 85
- 4460 Nordhorn
- Germany
- Attn: Werner Goeken [read "o-with-umlaut" for "oe"]
- Voice: 0049 5921 335 00
- Fax: 0049 5921 339 10
-
- *Great Britain*
- --Ireland has a "separate" distribution point;
- --contact Tony St. Quentin, below
- Nota Bene (GB) Ltd.
- Westbourne
- 44 Tower Lane
- Leeds LS12 3SD
- England
- Attn: Tony St. Quentin
- Voice: 532 311 994
- Fax: 532 311 998
-
- *Israel*
- OSI Computer and Peripherals Ltd.
- 48 Sokolov Street
- Suite 27
- Ramat haSharon
- Israel 47235
- Voice: 3 540 7570
- Fax: 3 540 0795
-
- *Norway*
- To be announced
- (i.e., to be dug up from secretary's desk)
-
- I.b) Documentation and support
- Again, in theory, each non-US distributor is responsible for
- technical support, translation into local languages of the
- manuals, etc. The situation with manuals is dicey even in
- English (US documentation): no new dates have been given for
- release of full documentation, beyond servicable tutorial and
- "quick reference guides" for NB4 and peripheral products.
-
- I.c) Pricing for non-US
- I cannot report on the price schedules (whether contractually
- stipulated or not) of the non-US distributors vis-a-vis the US
- prices. Perhaps future versions of this document will have
- hard or anecdotal information. I am told, e.g., that the
- prices for Great Britain are exactly the same as those listed
- for US distribution.
