  17.    I hope that someone can provide some assistance on the following issue.

  19.    We currently have an 802.3 Ethernet LAN at our main campus to which several
  20. terminal servers and two VAXen are connected.  We also have off-campus sites
  21. that are running NetWare over 10BaseT.  Users at the remote sites can access the
  22. VAXen on the main campus via a 56Kb line.

  24.    The problem is that located at each of the off-campus sites is a PC/CD-ROM
  25. unit that is dedicated to a software package called Infotrac.  We also have one
  26. of these units located at the main campus.  What we would like to do is have one
  27. PC/CD-ROM unit that runs Infotrac OR a VMS based alternative that utilize CD-ROM
  28. that is connected to the 802.3 Ethernet LAN so that periodical searches can be
  29. performed from one unit that is connected to the LAN.

  31.     Does anyone know of such a solution?  If so, please contact me.  This has
  32. the potential to save the college some money (hopefully)...
