- I'm not fond of DOS backup/restore for a couple of reasons...the disks need
- to be formatted before backup is done, and there is no compression, which
- means more disks are used. Of course, the price of disks allows this not
- to be a real factor anymore. Lastly, my complaint is that backup/restore
- allows little means of recovery on problems. The up side is that everyone
- has DOS backup/restore, so moving files, like data files for seminars is
- easily done. The big reason that these programs are so average is because
- Bill Gates indicated MS would not get into utility programs, and allow 3rd
- party folks to do that. However, seems MS DOS 6 (due out soon) will have
- more of these utility programs built in....
