  23. I asked the original question about the Risographs--and received several
  24. favorable replies from the list  (Thanks!).

  26. A salesperson just dropped one off yesterday pm for us to evaluate.  From
  27. his quick operations demo, it seems to be farily easy to operate.  The
  28. copies he ran off were quite good, including a halftone photograph.  The
  29. machine seems to be clean: ie--no messy toner carts, ect to get all over
  30. the operator.  It really cranks out the copies, too (claims to run at 100+
  31. copies per minute).

  33. I asked him about the computer interface kit--he didn't know, and didn't
  34. furnish one-- but had some literature.  It lists for about $5k.  The info
  35. says that it uses Microsoft's "TrueImage" postscript language.  I always
  36. get a bit shakey when fooling with postscript compatability (even with
  37. Adobe's own...).  We'll see--  The interface supports serial (232 and 422),
  38. AppleTalk, and SCSI.  Both Apple LaserWeriter and HP PCL are supported.
  39. THe unit also functions as a scanner,when connected via SCSI.
