- We at The Evergreen State College do NOT allow HOLDS to be placed on
- reserve items. We have an "open" reserve collection that students may
- sign out reserve items for in library use only. These items circulate
- overnight on our DYNIX on-line system. We also have a "closed" reserve
- collection that students must ask for at the desk. Circulation period is
- two hours but we do not get upset if items are a little late nor are
- there overdue fines. Closed reserve items are strictly in library use
- only. We do have an on-line option to schedule reserve items but with a
- small reserve collection (500 items) and a "cooperative use" policy we
- have found the scheduling option to be more trouble than it is worth.
- COPYRIGHTS: Anyone out there have any ideas on how to deal with faculty
- who INSIST on putting highly questionable xeroxed items on reserve?
