  17.   We at The Evergreen State College do NOT allow HOLDS to be placed on
  18. reserve items. We have an "open" reserve collection that students may
  19. sign out reserve items for in library use only. These items circulate
  20. overnight on our DYNIX on-line system. We also have a "closed" reserve
  21. collection that students must ask for at the desk. Circulation period is
  22. two hours but we do not get upset if items are a little late nor are
  23. there overdue fines. Closed  reserve items are strictly in library use
  24. only. We do have an on-line option to schedule reserve items but with a
  25. small reserve collection (500 items) and a "cooperative use" policy we
  26. have found the scheduling option to be more trouble than it is worth.
  27.   COPYRIGHTS: Anyone out there have any ideas on how to deal with faculty
  28. who INSIST on putting highly questionable xeroxed items on reserve?
