- That's UUENCODE *not* UN-ENCODE... it's a binary to ASCII coding system
- which prepares binary files for virtually *any* method of transfer which
- works with ASCII. It is widely available (and FREE!) for most systems
- including DOS, VMS, Mac (although the BinHex system is more common), and
- UNIX.

- As for SEND/FILE/VMS: sorry if I wasn't very clear... that won't actually
- INCLUDE a file with a mail message, but it will transmit binary files
- between VMS machines.

- What else would you call a command line mailer without a default editor or
- method of attaching documents? I work on three platforms and VAXmail is my
- LAST choice of mailer for our users. Still, to each his own... I suppose.
